The drug and sex fueled era of the Sunset Strip from the 1980s is well documented, and that environment serves as the backdrop for the crime anthology series Wicked City. Jeremy Sisto, last seen on TV’s The Returned and also known for his several year run with Law & Order, recently joined the cast LAPD detective Jack Roth, the man who solved the Hillside Strangler case.
During ABC’s day with the Television Critics Association (TCA) tour, showrunner Amy Harris did not back down after some media members criticized the violent nature of the show. With Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl) and Erika Christensen (Parenthood) leading the way as a serial killing couple, what does one honestly expect?
Although I didn’t attend ABC’s TCA day, I did get a chance to talk with Jeremy Sisto (he was promoting his new comedy Break Point, which we will cover in the coming weeks) and ask him about joining the Wicked City cast.

Wicked City, which also stars Gabriel Luna (True Detective) and Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story), premieres on ABC October 27 (10/9c).
