Taylor Kinney Reflects On Growing Bond With Chicago Community

Severide’s (Taylor Kinney) bond with Chicago is tried and true and that apple doesn’t far from the tree with Kinney. The Chicago Fire star has lived in the city for five years, and though he’ll always have a traveling spirit, he’s found a new home (figuratively and literally). Check out the video below, Kinney talks about his bond with the Windy City.

“I feel like each year, each season, I become more and more a part of the community,” said Taylor Kinney. “I know myself and Monica Raymund invested in a restaurant in the West Loop and I’ve been looking . . . for property. Like an apartment (or) house to buy – to live there. I’ve been there for five years and I’ve come to love the city.”

Check out the video below as he talks about his growing bond with Chicago and his work with former Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood’s Wood Family Foundation and the  100 Club of Chicago.

I’ll also be posting another video which details how Taylor Kinney found his way, via a roundabout manner, to acting. It’s a pretty cool story, and Kinney is actually one of the best conversationalists I’ve come across on the TCA sessions. Stay tuned!!

Chicago Fire airs Tuesday evenings on NBC (9 pm et/pt).
