‘Street Food Cinema’ Serves Up ‘Singin’ In The Rain’ & ‘Aladdin’

Last Saturday’s “La La Land” was a successful sixth season opener for Street Food Cinema, as the event attracted over 5,000 attendees. Cinema and food go hand in hand like PB&J, and tonight’s serving includes outdoor screenings of “Singin’ In The Rain” and “Aladdin.” Details below!!

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Aladdin will be screening at Griffith Park, with Kurt Long (Liv & Maddie) emceeing the event tonight. Scott Weinger, the voice of Aladdin, will take part in a Q&A for the film. Ghost Lit Kingdom, will provide the music for the occasion (fyi their song “Too Late” is a catchy, harmonic gem). Having lived in Culver City for three years, I have a special fondness for the “heart of screenland.” In celebration of its 65th anniversary, Singin’ in the Rain will screen at Syd Kronenthal Park with writer Patricia Ward Kelly (Gene Kelly’s widow) serving as the night’s special guest.  Music guest is The Singer and the Songwriter, and to show a little extra love for Los Angeles, here’s the outfit’s Elysian Park shot performance of “Over The Town”:
