Being the town witch, Fiji (Parisa Fitz-Henley) is probably comfortable amidst an array of books and various interesting ingredients (not to mention that talking cat!). Fitz-Henley found her passion for books at an early age, and reading has definitely brought an extra dimension to her acting:

“I loved imagining myself to be different folks in the privacy of my bedroom. That was my thing. I wasn’t as much of a performing kid. I loved writing. So imagining someone’s circumstances, it was really exciting for me. Because I read so much it was easy for me to enter worlds.

I had lots of practice. I would give that as a piece of advice for anybody who is interested in doing anything in this field. Read as much as you can because it sensitizes you to the details of people’s lives and that just always excited me.” – Parisa Fitz Henley

Co-starring Jason Lewis and Francois Arnaud, Midnight, Texas airs Monday evenings on NBC (10 pm et/pt).
